Kochi Customs Recruitment : Group ‘C’ vacancies in Marine Wing | 10th / ITI qualification

Kochi Customs Recruitment : Here is good news for those who are looking for a central government job. Applications have been invited for various posts in the Marine Wing under the Kochi Customs Preventive Commissionerate. There are a total of 19 vacancies in the posts of Seaman, Greaser, Tradesman , and Senior Store Keeper .

Details about the positions and qualifications are given below.

Vacancies and salaries

• Seaman : 11 vacancies ( UR-4, EWS-1, OBC-1, SC-3, ST-2). Salary: Level-1 ( ₹ 18,000 – ₹ 56,900).
• Greaser : 04 vacancies ( UR-1, EWS-1, SC-1, ST-1). Salary: Level-1 ( ₹ 18,000 – ₹ 56,900).
• Tradesman : 03 vacancies ( UR-1, OBC-1, SC-1). Salary: Level-2 ( ₹ 19,900 – ₹ 63,200).
• Senior Store Keeper: 01 Vacancy ( UR). Salary: Level-5 ( ₹ 29,200 – ₹ 92,300).

Eligibility criteria

Tradesman:

• ITI certificate in Mechanic/Diesel/Fitter/Turner/Welder/Electrician/Instrumental/Carpentry .
• 10th class success.
• 2 years of work experience in the field of engineering/automobile/ship repair.

Seaman:

• 10th class success.
• 3 years of experience on seagoing motorized vessels (2 years of experience in Helmsman and Seamanship is mandatory).

Greaser:

• 10th class success.
• 3 years of work experience in main/auxiliary machinery maintenance on seagoing mechanized ships.

Senior Store Keeper:

• 10th class success.
• 8 years of work experience in Engineering/Automobile Storekeeping.

Age limit

• For posts other than Senior Store Keeper: 18 to 25 years of age.
• Senior Store Keeper: Under 30 years of age.
• ( SC/ST/OBC/ Ex-Servicemen will get legal age relaxation).

Selection method

Selection will be based on a written test and a physical fitness test (including swimming).

The application must be submitted offline and by post.

1. Fill out the application form in the prescribed format.
2. Please enclose self-attested copies of certificates proving educational qualifications, age, caste and work experience.
3. You should also include passport size photos (4) and 2 self-addressed, unstamped envelopes (25 cm x 12 cm) .
4. The name of the post and category should be clearly written on the outside of the envelope in which the application is sent, ” APPLICATION FOR MARINE WING POST – CUSTOMS (PREVENTIVE) COMMISSIONERATE, KOCHI” .
