  No, the SSC GD notification has been released for both male and female candidates.
• Is SSC GD a permanent job?
  Yes, the candidates selected through the SSC GD exam will be appointed in the Indian military forces, Assam Rifles, SSF and NCB and these forces come under the central government. The posts that come under the Central Government are permanent.

The initial salary of a General Duty Constable is Rs. 23,527 per month and the starting basic pay of a Constable is Rs. 21,700. The maximum basic pay for a GD Constable can reach up to Rs. 69,100 in Paramilitary Forces.
